The Story Behind Zilu

I’ve always loved jewelry. The way a simple piece can completely transform an outfit. The way it can make you feel just a little more confident. Most of all, I’ve always loved when a piece of jewelry carried meaning. There’s something special about wearing a reminder of a moment, a person, or a feeling.

For as long as I can remember, I also dreamed about starting my own business. Creating something that felt personal and something I truly believed in. So starting a jewelry brand felt natural.

But I didn’t just want to “sell jewelry”.

I wanted to create something you don’t just wear and forget about at the end of the day. I wanted every piece to feel intentional. That’s when the idea of meaningful gemstones truly clicked.

Gemstones are not only beautiful — they carry symbolism that has been cherished for centuries. Each stone holds a different energy, a different message. I love the idea that the jewelry you choose can reflect what you need most in your life right now.
